Do Ducks Eat Green Chiles? Poblanos? Serranos? Jalapenos?

I can say emphatically that ducks do eat green chiles, poblanos, serranos, and jalapenos. I had to cut them up in fairly small pieces, half dollar or less, and they ate them. When they get bigger, hopefully I won't have to cut them. Apparently, ducks CAN take the heat.

I just have to ask...Why are you feeding the ducks chilies? I'm no duck rancher but it seems that would not be the feed of choice. Lol

We had a whole bunch of chiles of various kinds. We try to feed a lot of fresh vegetables. Sometimes we can get the ones they are throwing out at the grocery store. Commercial poultry food is really not suitable for ducklings. It contains too much protein and can cause them to have deformed wings and legs it they get too much protein while growing. Chiles are high in vitamin C and B vitamins, so they are actually very healthy.
